One of the longest-staying residents \u2013 Gibson, an Afghan Hound \u2013 has been adopted and is loving life in his new home.<\/p>\n For a doggie that spent 12 long years<\/a> in a shelter, it\u2019s a wonderful new chapter after a lonely one of non-belonging.<\/p>\n \u201cGibson has always been the kind of dog who makes friends wherever he goes. Gentle, loving, and full of charm, he\u2019s spent his days winning hearts without even trying.\u201d Wetnose affectionately shared<\/a> about him.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Gibson’s forever family said ‘yes!’ to him on Valentine\u2019s Day this year, and have since shared happy updates about their beloved old boy, who is settling in well with his siblings, in his new home.<\/p>\n “This is what adoption really looks like – the moment a dog leaves the kennels behind and steps into a home full of love.
