Cape Town, South Africa (11 January 2026)<\/em> – Nothing could have prepared one unsuspecting security guard for the blessing that would unfold during a normal day at work.<\/p>\n Devon Naris had been on duty at a Cape Town hotel when a curious Keegan Gordon<\/a><\/strong> approached him, wanting to find out a little bit about what he does.<\/p>\n In a now-viral video,<\/a><\/strong> shared on his TikTok and Instagram<\/a>, Keegan is seen asking why Devon works every day, to which a slightly baffled Devon replied that it was because he needs to take care of himself.<\/p>\n Their conversation further revealed that Devon was actually experiencing homelessness and was currently living in a shelter in Cape Town.<\/p>\n “I work here, to take care of myself. If I don’t work, then things will be hard. I’m not the type that expects anything from anybody,” Devon shared.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The two shared a heartwarming hug before they parted ways, with Keegan saying he would try to check in on him again a little later in the day.<\/p>\n The video then showed Keegan returning to Devon’s workplace, this time carrying a surprise the honest security guard never saw coming.<\/p>\n Keegan greeted Devon again before telling him that he was inspired by his story.
