Cape Town showed up with incredible heart and unmatched gees on the green last Tuesday for a cause that matters most: our children.
Cape Town, South Africa (30 March 2026) – Ladles of Love’s 4th annual Charity Golf Day saw 64 incredible players come together with heart, generosity, and an infectious sense of gees!
Playing forward food with love
Held last Tuesday at the Metropolitan Golf Club in Cape Town, the day was blessed with clear skies and stunning sunshine. Under these perfect conditions, 16 fourballs took to the course, braving the heat to truly ‘play forward food with love’.
“The golf day has become a fantastic event on our fundraising calendar, and what we love most is the spirit of giving. The golfers dig deep into their pockets to pay for raffle tickets, auction items and the combination of this, together with their steep fourball fees, pay to cover annual food costs for small children in our nutrition programme,” shared Ladles of Love Founder, Danny Diliberto.
There is nothing like doing good for good to release a feel-good feeling. It feeds the soul, and coupled with a stimulating round of golf, according to the golfers who love it, life does not get any better!
The prize pool this year was astounding, thanks to the support of the organisation’s sponsors and winners.
“The circle of love was spinning with giving and receiving, and we could not be more grateful to everyone who played a role in making the event a success.”
At the heart of it all…
The sun cracked the flags, the players played with hearts on their sleeves, and at the end of the day, the purpose of the initiative was fulfilled.
From raffle tickets to auction bids and fourball entries – every swing, every contribution helped make a real difference. Because of this collective effort, 30 more preschool children will be nourished daily through the Nourish Our Children programme. That’s 30 lives nurtured and given the chance to grow into future leaders!
“There’s nothing quite like doing good for good – and this day reminded us just how powerful that feeling is. A huge thank you to our sponsors, players, and everyone who made it so special!”
